ACADIAN FLYCATCHER

We are Acadian Flycatchers. We are an endangered species from Southwestern Ontario, and we know a thing or two about traveling.

For four months out of the year, we winter and migrate to warmer location that include Central and South America. If you want to plan a vacation we're the ones to contact.

How to Find Us:

Our home office is in Southwestern Ontario. We, Flycatchers prefer old forests with lots of maple trees near lakes or ravines, but as a growing small bird buisness we hired a general contrator ,Maddie Cranston, and she made a customized bird house for us.

If your still worried about finding us here's a quick describiton. We have olive green and light brown feathers. We also have a whitish beige throat and underbelly. Our beaks are pink and black.

Our juvenile interns look very similar to the adults but have a darker brown feathers, have darker bars  and tanner edges on their wings.

You can find the difference between males and females because they have full black hoods on their heads while ladies usually don't. Our song sounds like peet-tah or flee-sing.

So, next time to walk through the forests in the Southwestern Ontario, make sure you come and visit: Migration Management.

Customer Intake

As you know we are endangered bird therefore we can only have a few clients at a time. We have many anger people so pleade understand; we are endangered because of human development.

Every year you cut down forested to put up buildings and agriculture. This hurts our population because we can't make nest, reproduce, and hunt. But, don't worry, humans do some good too.

Homo Sapiens Humans can positively affect us like protecting us so we can't be hunted.  Canada has also us under the Endangered Species Act which is quite impressive. This helps us raise awareness for us Acadian Flycatchers.
